Ready for Safari

Qoben tests its web sites with the new number-3 browser

Publish date: 2008-02-21

Over the year 2007 Apple's Safari browser has replaced the Opera browser as the number 3 of most-used browsers. Time to make sure all web sites work perfectly in Safari, because Qoben strives to make web sites that work for everybody.

Safari is the standard browser that is being shipped with Apple computers running the Mac OS X operating system. Since the Mac computers gain popularity, so does the Safari browser. Additionally, Apple made in June 2007 the first preview-version available for Windows computers. Over the year 2007 it has replaced the Opera browser as the number 3 of most-used browsers. Market research institutions estimate that the current user base world-wide is between 2 and 3 percent.

Qoben creates web sites that work for everybody: its sites are therefore tested in various browsers, on several screen sizes and with diverse user settings. Explicitly supporting Safari is therefore a logical and necessary step.
